We needed a car for a few hours, so we prayed. When it was time to go my daughter said, “Take the elevator to the first floor and go outside through the iron gate. A man from our church, named Mike, will be waiting in a white car.”
When I got outside, there was a white car, double parked (we were in the inner city) with a man in it. He opened the car door and I got in.
I felt like I was living a Bible story.
When Jesus needed a donkey, he told his disciples, “You will find a donkey and her colt in the village ahead of you. Untie her and bring them to me. If anyone says anything, tell him that the Lord needs them and he will send it right away.” The disciples went and brought the donkey and the colt to Jesus (from Matthew 21:2-7).
God answers prayer through community.
