Sleep eluded me, so I spent part of the night praying about our daughter’s wedding. I asked the Lord to show me how to be a good mother-of-the-bride.
The next morning a blog I read, that’s about publishing, said this: “Yesterday, thousands of people got married. Just about every one of those weddings went beautifully. Amazingly, you weren’t there, on-site, making sure everything was perfect.. . . Caring matters. Your contribution makes things better. But when the need for control starts getting in the way and starts making you crazy, it might be worth thinking about that wedding in Baton Rouge that went just fine without you.”*
God’s amazing, isn’t He? He always hears and answers prayer.
