Erotao

Jesus used the word erotao (to ask) when he spoke about his own prayers. “I will ask the Father, and he will give (John 14:16).”

Erotao suggests that the petitioner is equal with the person to whom he prays. It is used of a king making a request from another king.

The way Jesus prayed shows that He is God.
