A Stranger’s Generosity

I made a new friend in our building’s laundry room last week. I had loaded a huge pile of wet clothes into a dryer, then realized I had no money. A woman noticed my dilemma, held our her laundry card and said, “Here, use mine!”

Her generosity reminds me of God’s, who gives good gifts to people who don’t yet know him.

“Before they call, I will answer”  (Isaiah 65:24).

God is here. He listens.

As I walk through my day, I try to remember that the Lord, though unseen, hears every conversation.

I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers (Isaiah 65:24).

Those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name (Malachi 3:16).

Include God in every conversation.
